A Distelfink For Luck - BlueBird Good Luck Charm, Pennsylvania Dutch Hex
This piece is vintage dealer stock - hand enameled, silver and gold tone metal charms that were produced in the 1970s, but never sold in stores! This is 3/4 inch across, and in perfect condition. The enamel is deep, bright blue with warm orange and depicts a 'distelfink' - a bluebird of happiness to bring you luck, prosperity and love! Chains are available elsewhere in the store, or upon request.
Pennsylvania Deutsch charms like this are based on old German (Deutsch) tradition for bringing luck and prosperity throughout all seasons. Many of these patterns - particularly the love and hearts designs - will be familiar to quilters from around the world!
