So lovely! This early 1900s brooch features a triple sweep of crescent moons, with each leaf sitting on its own crescent of goldfilled metal. The leaves also feature a pretty texture, and are distinctly green in hue. A bright red but tiny garnet provides a firey counterpoint to the soft, feminine design.
The ornate, gothic brooch is in excellent condition, and the patina has been left in place to give it a sense of age. The crescent moon is the symbol of the Goddess Diana, goddess of Dogs and the Hunt!
